About Columbia, MO
Guide to CoMO
Columbia is where Maher and Tori met, where we fell in love and the first place we lived together. While DC is our home, Columbia is a big part of our beginning and we love it deeply. So while you are here, check out some of the community staples and our personal favorites!
Things to do
Ragtag Cinema (consider donating to support independent film and arts in the community!)
Mizzou campus (it’s a botanical garden!)
Stephens Lake Park
The Big Tree (no, seriously it’s worth going to see.)
New to the Midwest? Enjoy this silly collection of mid Missouri staples.
Menards: Save big money at the hardware store of Tori’s youth. Personal favorites, seasonal decorations, the lighting section, hitting all the buttons and turning all the knobs on the display appliances.
Casey’s: Ok yes, it’s a gas station. But it’s also Tori’s favorite pizza in the world. Order a taco pizza for max authenticity.
Culver’s: Frozen custard, fried cheese, burgers, what more could you ask for from the Midwest?
Steak and Shake: This is how fries were meant to be. Could run into a group of high school theater kids at any time.
Sonic: Insert drink the size of a child Parks and Rec joke here. Also, tater tots.
Hy-Vee: The grocery store of my dreams. Try out their Chinese food (yes, really).
General politeness: Yes, they are actually just nice.
